Bergamot Mint has a fresh, minty, citrus aroma, milder than that of peppermint. It may used in the treatment of asthma, colic, exhaustion, fever, flatulence, headache, nausea, scabies, sinusitis, and vertigo.

Mentha citrata, like most other mints, originated in central and southern Europe. Cultivation of the plant and distillation is carried out in the far western United States, particularly in Oregon and Washington.
